I specialize in assessing and treating depression, anxiety, family of origin complications, relationship concerns, attachment issues, and parenting concerns. I enjoy counseling individuals and families across the lifespan.
I bring years of experience with the adoption and the foster care system, and my role teaching foster/adoptive parents attachment-focused parenting techniques. My extensive knowledge and training in working with children, teens and their parents make her an excellent resource for families struggling with parent-child conflict, behavioral concerns, mood disorders, oppositional defiance, anger management, and more.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology, and offering extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adult individuals and families.
I seek to build a trusting and authentic therapeutic relationship with clients, believing that this is key to goal setting and empowering clients to achieve positive changes. Furthermore, I utilize play therapy to increase emotional regulation and social skills in children while working collaboratively with parents to increase healthy relationships through improving communication, trust, and conflict resolution skills.
I understand that seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with family dynamics or parenting challenges. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns, build emotional regulation, and strengthen your relationships. Together, we’ll work on improving communication, trust, and conflict resolution skills.
